Smiles by Candy can change the way you may view your dental hygiene visit. You will receive personalized attention in the comfort of your own home or residence, OR a tranquil spa like setting that transforms oral hygiene into the enjoyable, relaxing experience it should be.
Most people don't know you have a choice when it comes to dental hygiene care. California allows RDHAP's to own and operate independent dental hygiene practices in dental health professional shortage areas, such as Shasta County. NO EXAMS and NO XRAYS.
An RDHAP may perform allowable services for a patient who presents for treatment. However, 18 months after the initial visit, the patient must have a written prescription from a dentist, physician or surgeon to continue treatment with the RDHAP.

A Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) is licensed to provide dental hygiene care without supervision of a dentist. Candy is able to take dental hygiene care to those with limited access to care in the traditional dental office.
